Meet the leaders of our Family of Faith
CPC is currently operating with interim Pastor Reverend Kris Moore, in anticipation of hiring a permanent Pastor in the near future. We are blessed to have staff who are helping to lead us through this transition time and continue our strong service to our congregation and community
Rev. Kris Moore, Interim Pastor
Interim Pastor, Rev. Kris Moore, joined Christiansburg Presbyterian Church’s staff in July 2023. She will guide CPC in a period of congregational self-study in preparation for seeking a future called pastor.
A 2004 graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Rev. Moore was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament by the Presbytery of Cincinnati in 2005. She completed post-graduate specialized Transitional Ministry (interim ministry) training. Prior to coming to Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, pastor Kris has served as a solo pastor at three small churches, in Indiana and Ohio.
Rev. Moore is also a Board-Certified Chaplain (BCCR, Association of Professional Chaplains, retired). She spent ten years in professional chaplaincy at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and was a volunteer chaplain for two fire departments, in Indiana and Ohio. She received continuing education training in Critical Incident Stress Management and Trauma Informed Care.
Pastor Kris is married. She has a daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter who live in the area. She enjoys visual arts and has joined the church’s choir.

Taylor Baldwin, Chancel Music Director and Organist/Pianist
Conductor/Pianist Taylor Baldwin has performed extensively as chamber pianist, vocal coach and conductor throughout the United States, Germany, Austria, Italy and Russia. Professional engagements have included Opera Roanoke, Roanoke Symphony Chorus, AIMS in Graz, Cleveland Opera, Opera Carolina, Knoxville Opera, Central City Opera and Opera Colorado.
Taylor holds degrees in conducting and piano from Radford University, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with additional conducting and piano studies at University of Colorado, Boulder and University of Michigan.
Angie Hagwood, Youth Music Director
Angie Hagwood holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education as well as a Master’s of Science in Reading from Radford University; in addition, she has completed two levels of Orff-Schulwerk certification at Appalachian State University. Angie lives in Christiansburg with her husband, Forrest Hollandsworth, and her 11-year-old son, Jack.

Kristi Blake is a Christiansburg native who currently lives in Ellett Valley. She lives on a hobby farm caring for a small herd of goats, a pot belly pig, 3 Great Pyrenees dogs, an English Setter, a Maltese, a mini-dachshund, a stray and 2 cats. She is an animal lover! Kristi has two children, Bevin and Aralyn,
RHONDA SETTLES, CUSTODIAN
Rhonda has been serving as CPC’s very capable and dependable custodian since July 2007. A resident of Elliston, she and her husband, Jimbob, have two children and one grandchild.
